I know you guys read this for a little entertainment, a little levity, and a little, very little, insight. If you have other reasons for reading this please keep them to yourself. Today is going to be short, not to sweet, and to the point.
I guess if you are a good athlete you can get away with most anything. I just read an article about Micheal Vick signing on as spokesman for an energy supplement. This is the second such product that's signed him as their representative. He also has a deal with Nike. I do think people deserve a second chance. I don't think Vick would be so sorry if he hadn't been caught.
What truly strikes me as ludicrous is Vick's appeal to congress on dogfighting. Doing this may be commendable but if I remember correctly, community service was part of his parole.
Vick brought his anti-dogfighting message to Congress on Tuesday, backing legislation that would penalize those who knowingly attend animal fights and allow minors to attend. He wants to teach kids not to repeat his mistakes and to take profits away from sponsors of these events.
He wants to take profits away from sponsors of these events? Dogfighting has sponsors? Dogfighting is an event? Here is an idea, take his profits from the two energy supplements and shoe company, and give it to Humane Society's and Animal Rescue Foundations.
I didn't know the exact spelling of ludicrous. As you probably know when you do a search you often get a corrected spelling. Rather than give me the correct word I got the rapper, Ludacris.
My poor spelling was close enough for the word that means "ridiculous or laughable." But the Rapper has more hit songs and is much more popular. Us "old people" probably don't know the rapper. The "young people" probably don't know the word.
Which group do you think is more important?
Which group do you think advertisers are more interested in?
Which group do you think uses more energy drinks and wears more sports shoes, like Nike?
Which group buys more music?
Obviously the corporations that hired Vick don't care about his past. And, I'm sure they don't care much about my future or spending........just like Google Search.
