Hot, hot water.........

I was thinking about the blog while in the shower this morning. I should have been thinking about the water temperature.

We keep a five gallon bucket in the tub to catch shower "run off." I shouldn't mention it but if we ever need a new water heater maybe a tank less?

Almost June and the heat was on yesterday. We had the windows open for about an hour this morning but now it's getting chilly again. A close neighbor has been hacking down a tree this week end. Off and on for the last three days I've been hearing a chain saw. It's starting to sound like the dentist's drill and that needs no description.

Keep your old clothes and eventually they will be back in fashion. What goes around comes around. Everything old is new again.

If you are around my age, and even if you aren't, take a look at the viewmaster page. I had one and loved it. It was entertaining, educational, and fun. My favorite things were the pictures of exotic locations and structures. It was easy to imagine being in Egypt visiting the pyramids or riding on a camel.

Saturday Wanda had a list of things to pick up at Target. Since I spend so much time at home I'm always ready, like the family dog, to go out for a ride. Once we get to the store we go our separate ways. Wanda sticks to the list while I look at things I don't want. Leaving a store not wanting something is a great feeling, it saves money as well.

My favorite looking place is electronics. It's easy to find many things I don't want in that department. I save money on televisions, cameras, computers and lots and lots of phones. The other day while looking I saw this viewer for the i-phone. It was not very expensive, I think thirty nine dollars? I put it on my don't want list because I don't have an i phone. Also, because I had one kind of like it, forty years ago.

This morning while I was scalding myself I was thinking about independence. This would be a better topic on July 4th but it's fresh right now.

A few days ago I was talking to grandson Nick about "the future." I suggested he go to college and study mechanical engineering. He has always enjoyed taking things apart. I've seen some potential disasters all over the garage floor. He usually gets things back together, working better than before. I thought designing engines and future transportation would be perfect for him. I never thought I would be giving advice and making suggestions but now I am.

When all is said and done I think the most important thing in life, aside from health, is doing what you love.

PS: If I can over the next few days I'll try to figure out the comment thing. I don't want anyone that's good enough to post having issues. So, for now, as someone used to say, keep those cards and letters coming in. Whatever is the easiest way for you, do it. Thanks.
