French toast and eggs for breakfast late, so no lunch. We'll have an early dinner. Tammy is at the house now so I am FREE. I came up to the local Starbucks, transferred that nice gift card to my own private "perks" card and got my first drink. Why would people bring three screaming kids in a place like this? There is a drive through window, use it and keep your kids to yourself.
Tammy came through with what looks like a very yummy chicken pot pie. She brought it over from one of those "we cook, you warm up and eat" places. It better be good at $11.99. Now I'm thinking it's real, real big. Maybe the cost is due to the size and not the quality. I am very familiar with that concept but in reverse.
My friend Harriet loaded a bunch of first run movies on this notebook. I remember seeing a commercial about Windows 7 showing people projecting movies from lap top to TV. I thought it would be nice to do that tonight so I looked up help. The first two links I went to couldn't load due to "technical difficulties."
Why do they need to tell us what the temperature will be with the "wind chill?" Twenty seven is bad enough, I don't need to know about 17. I forgot how difficult simple things like putting gas in your car can be. I was going to stop on the way out now but forgot my gloves. I once had my tongue stuck on a frozen Popsicle. I don't want to repeat that with hands and a gas pump.
Fred had the "Dungeon" decorated in the 70's, I think. I have red shag carpet and must be full of static electricity. When I walk around in socks and touch anything metal I see and feel a great spark. Funny, I know Tammy is at the house and I have only be gone about an hour but think I should get back. I could go back and entertain myself making balloon animals and sticking them on the walls of the basement (Dungeon).
I have been using my cell phone alarm, it's set for 5:45AM. This morning I thought it went off but then stopped. I grabbed the phone and saw "Missed Call" from Fred. It was 3:10AM, he was calling to let me know the appliance I put on maybe six hours earlier was leaking. I went up and changed it. I am really looking forward to the "experts" visit this afternoon. I let him sleep a little later this morning, woke him at 9. We did the blood pressure and morning pills. I left him in bed, told him to get dressed, get to his desk in the other room and I would bring him breakfast. He did and I did, French Toast, eggs, milk, O.J. and coffee. This was the first time I've had breakfast here. I feel like a MOMMY with little kids who picks off their plates.
The Physical Therapist was here this morning. I thought she would be working with him but it was the first visit. She did an assessment, set goals and talked with him for an hour or so. he PT will start in earnest (whoever that is) tomorrow. They talked about how he was going to let workers in after I leave. One of them thought he could have people come through the garage by keeping the remote upstairs. That didn't work. I am giving some serious thought to discussing an in patient facility for him. I know he wants to stay home but I am not seeing much progress. Maybe a rehab "convalescent facility" would be easier AND more motivating? I know I would sure want to get better and out of a place.
Aunt Lee has done lots of cooking for Fred and I am hoping I can get over there tomorrow. Meat Loafs, Stew, Noodle Kugle, and assorted veggies in small portions frozen sounds good to me.
I think I'll head on back now, either that or another latte'. Another latte and I'll be cleaning the whole house for the second time. So, have a great day. By the way, it looks like the times I am posting are Pacific, so, add three hours. We should be accurate.
