We Made It to the Outside Inn...Nevada City, Ca.

If you drive straight through it is only a few hours but BFF has a bladder the size of a pea. I suggested she not drink much before we left the house, but did she listen? No, she did not. Four 'pit' stops we had to make. And speaking of pits...our first bathroom break was at the Dixon Fruit Stand where I got a banana, BFF and Wanda got honey and Chuck bought a three pound bag of Bing Cherries.

Each time we come here we find something new. This is a new sign and we also found an ice machine. Each visit is like an Easter Egg Hunt except for Easter and the eggs. I wonder what they do here for Easter. Chuck and Wanda started bringing us on Halloween, maybe springtime too?

Our room was ready when we arrived so we got right to unpacking. Or at least I thought we were unpacking. Chuck told us we were making our bed. I hate sleeping in the drawer but the room is nice.

This is a favorite spot of ours. It is right on the property just outside our door. BFF and I sat here for hours. We listened to the water and watched the fishies and birds. We saw blackbirds and robins. I like being able to sit quietly with nature. They have very fast and free Wi-Fi here but I don't have any electronic devices or thumbs, or for that matter fingers. I can't type. I dictate all these posts.

Last night Chuck and Wanda walked to town for dinner. They brought back their uneaten food. I heard them say they stopped for ice-cream but they ate all of that.

Now that would have been good.
