Oh Those Pesky Kids

 GOOD MORNING

The only thing better than waking up at the Outside Inn is waking up at the Outside Inn with a friend.

Oh, I suppose some of you that are married would choose to debate my semantics but what do you want from me. I'm a monkey who sleeps with a cat. Wanda told me BFF is a cat and I did see her once chase a mouse.

So, I looked at his posts from past years and I am convinced he isn't sure exactly how long they have been coming up here. Chuck, if you haven't already guessed, tends to stretch the truth and so it seems every year he adds longevity to their visits. I think Chuck and Wanda first came here twelve years ago. I know their friends have been coming in early June since 2005. This was our third of fourth vacation there....we don't count because we don't care about such things. BFF and I just love getting out of the house.

And nothing could be better than a trip to Nevada City and the Inn.

No...no...no...I would never close the door. I just wanted you to see the new micro wave thing in our room. Yes, we also have a full stove but this was great for warming up all the left over food that they cooked. He said they cooked. I know they went downtown for dinner...twice. To listen to the adult's one would think there are a lot of good restaurants in the area.

One thing that is lots of fun here is finding new things and we do that every year.

OK, so the SockMonkey and his friend had a good time and I'm happy for them. The grown-ups (and I use the term loosely) had a wonderful time. There is as much or as little to do in this beautiful area as you may be interested in. Some of us sat and watched the world go by while others went on short adventures.

As Sock mentioned, this was our 11th year going with friends. We've gotten to know the owners and staff of the Outside Inn. I have always felt like a special guest rather than someone paying for a few nights and passing through (notice I did not say passing on). What impressed me the most this year was hearing the staff talk about new projects and plans and saying "We"......not "They."

The Outside Inn in Nevada City, California is a great vacation destination.
