Hello. I'm Sorry I Didn't Say Good-Bye

Hi there.

I received an impassioned request from Steve yesterday.

He is concerned about my absence and wants to help me write the blog. I would let him but his price of treats and nip seems a tad too steep. I may allow him some future input (on occasion) but only time will tell.

I didn't realize I have been avoiding the computer for almost a month and a lot has happened. I was sick for over a week, Wanda and I went to Portland to visit Younger Daughter Rebecca, Son-in-law Tim and Granddaughter Grace. I bought an Amazon Fire Stick and watched fifty plus hours of Downton Abby and I have been working on the house.

The day before yesterday I replaced all the hardware on the front door.

Yesterday I locked myself out of the house and met a nice locksmith named Eli. He is from Israel and told me about an organization called Birthright that would grant me a free trip to the homeland. That would be most welcome because after the expense of emergency lock picking I could not afford the trip, but who am I kidding? Israel? I can't even get in my house.

I've made seven trips to Home Depot.

Three were for a $1.28 plastic switch plate that would fit over the hole in the wall.

I'm bitching, moaning, sore and swearing a lot.

But I have missed you all and hope you will forgive my short vanishing act.
