Wanda actually took a bath in it last night. I guess it's OK I'm calling it a bath. She was in water and she was in the BATH-tub.
You can see in the picture the water spout isn't on, the water came shooting out of the pipe. I held a large plastic bowl in front of the stream so the sheet rock wouldn't get too wet. Wanda poured some bubble bath in the water and went to get ready for a luxurious bath. The water never got hot. I also spotted a small leak in of the new soldered fittings.
The leak is easily fixed and the temp easily adjusted. I think we just rushed it and should have used another bathroom last night. I'm due for a shower. I keep missing parts in my sink bath.
This morning I got out of bed at 6, by 6:45 Wanda had vacuumed, dusted and made three dozen cookies. Good thing the construction guys are working so hard, she keeps them filled with baked goods. She has a screwy day today and won't leave for the office until 10:15.
Wednesday (yesterday) morning I lost the Internet while proofing the blog. Less then a minute later Doug was in the doorway, "I think I must have tripped a circuit breaker." So off to the garage we went and everything looked fine, the circuit breakers that is. Right about now we realized the entire house lost power. Then I saw a PG&E truck on the side of our house. I thought they were supposed to fix things. I went out to ask what was going on.
He didn't know, had to make a call and would let me know in a minute.
Ten minutes, three trucks and four power workers later I was still standing in front of my house looking lost. The other two trucks left and the original fellow (who was going to let me know) rolled up his window and started his truck (looking very much like he was leaving). At that point I threw both arms out palms up hunched my shoulders and gave him the universal W.T.F. sign.
He said, "An hour maybe less"...and drove away
There are construction workers here and the power goes out. I offered to light a couple of Tiki torches but they used flashlights. The power was only out for twenty minutes. It took me longer to reset the clocks.
This is sad. I just noticed all of this week I've been dating my notes 2004. Ten years, it's a long time to lose.
