Thank You All..... for your concern and comforting comments. They meant a lot to me and Wanda.
I think this is worth repeating. On our first Alaska cruise we rode the White Pass & Yukon R.R. At one point the route parallels the dead horse trail. We were more upset about the animals that died along that trail then we were about the people. Animals don't have a voice, we need to speak for them.
And I promise, after this, I'll get back to the fun blog.
The aftermath of yesterday: Because I called animal control the two dogs were removed from the home. I asked the officer if we could avoid that. "What the dogs did was predatory, what if it was a child? he said. A fine and security improvements could get the dogs back home." Trust me, these people will not spend the money. So, because of irresponsible animal 'owners' two dogs and one cat suffered. Like I said, we need to be their voice.
When getting dressed for dinner Friday (we went out, at home dressing for dinner is putting on pants) a shirt I bought last September looked two sizes too big. The leather jacket that's been hiding in the back of my closet for ten years, fit. I knew there was a reason I didn't list it on E-Bay. Now, thirty pounds down and if you don't mind my saying, I look pretty good.
And while I'm at it, several people asked to see the new 'do'. I think my grandson has a bright future in auto or engine design. If things get slow he can always give haircuts.
OK.....every so often it may be a good idea to let the animal have it's own voice. Who's going to admit doing this?
Guards at a Brazilian prison were surprised when they saw a white cat crossing the main gate. Occasionally an animal finds it's way into the 'yard' but this cat was different. A plastic bag attached to the kitty contained, a saw, a small drill, an earphone, a memory card, batteries, and a phone charger.
Prison officials consider all 263 detainees suspects. A spokesperson said, "It's part of an escape plot or someone wanted more phone time."
The feline felon was treated in a local animal shelter. He is in good health and will be held pending trail. As of now, the cats not talking.
Not two weeks into the new year and I have my second MENSA nominee.
An 18-year-old in Oregon joked on Facebook about driving drunk and getting into a hit-and-run accident. He was arrested after 'friends' saw the posting and reported it to police. Thankfully, no one was injured, but two cars were damaged.
Police arrested the teen who was charged with "failing to perform the duties of a driver" by not stopping at the scene. He faces a year in jail and a fine of $6,250. Leaving a note with contact information is required, not a posting in Facebook.
Drivin drunk... classsic ;) but to whoever's vehicle i hit i am sorry. :P
Back tomorrow with more.
