The Price I Pay.....

Remember The Mickey Mouse Club? 


The MMC was on Monday through Friday and each day of the week had a theme. Monday was Fun With Music, Tuesday was Guest Star, Wednesday was Anything Can Happen, Thursday Circus Day and Friday Talent Round Up Day.


I'm having the colonoscopy tomorrow and I'd rather it not be Anything Can Happen Day. Just for this week I'll call it Easy Peasy Day. I don't want any surprises.


Today I do the prep which is the hard part. I'm hungry and I want my caffeine. I drink two lattes every morning, we have an espresso machine. I don't want to drink the allowed black coffee because the acid will bother me, so no caffeine for me, yet. I am now drinking Mighty Leaf Tea and I just remembered it's caffeine free.


I start the prep at two o'clock.


This is really stupid. It's 74 in the house and I'm drinking hot tea.


I'm now drinking ice water.


"There's no crying in baseball" a quote by tom Hanks in the movie "A League Of Their Own" released in 1992. It seems there are also no g's in baseball. Just in time for the All Star game tonight your diction lesson.....the announcer, 'That was a mean breakin' ball. Or he was sure throwin' good tonight.


And while I'm on the subject of baseball....an Ohio man was going through the attic of a home and found a cache of baseball cards. About seven hundred of these cards from 1910 are valued at up to three million dollars. There may be no crying in baseball but there sure is a lot of smiling.


Short but sweet today. I'm writing but not concentrating very well. It's a damn shame that I'm complaining about one day without food. Too many people in the country go hungry every day.
