The nice thing about working or writing from home, or at least one of them, is not going outside, for anything. This means being able to sit in front of the computer in my underwear if I so choose. Now that you have that terrible vision implanted in your brain I will tell you, I have never done that and I will never do that. I may wear a shirt that has coffee spots on it. I may wear a pair of jeans that have holes but I will always look presentable, sort of, when I write blog posts.
I was reading a magazine this morning called "Travel and Leisure." I'm pretty sure it's written by, and for, rich folks. One of the articles quoted a travel web site owner talking about they way people dress on airplanes. He said, "they dress like they are going to bed", blah blah blah. Now, I agree with him in that respect, people should at least get out of their sweats or pj's when traveling. What I can't agree with is his style of dress. Almost two hundred bucks for a shirt? Over seven hundred for a sports coat? Please and no thank you. I'll stick to the long sleeve t-shirt and the jeans. When writing the blog or flying on an airplane.
I hope I'm not getting the sickies. Recently Wanda was fighting a cold. I went to the doc this morning for my monthly appointment and just feel yucky. It's about 62 in the house and I'm sweating, or, should I say perspiring? Years ago all the folks from Wanda's office went up to a cabin near Reno/Lake Tahoe. It was very nice and among other things it had an indoor sauna. I was sitting in there with the husband of her co-worker and he had moisture pouring off him. Eventually he looked over at me and said, "Don't you sweat?" "No I replied, I'm Jewish." That's as good a response as any for questions that have no answer.
I stopped at the local Starbucks on the way home this morning. On display they have a combination coffee press and mug. I didn't note the price but it is advertised as "made with 30% past consumer plastic." Don't know about you but it turned me off. Recycled I can handle, no problem. Past Consumer Plastic sounds like other people had their lips and tongue on the cup, no thank you.
I think I need to go take a nap. I took some of Wanda's most delicious pasta sauce out of the freezer so dinner is taken care of. The garbage totes are in the backyard. Jill is has been sitting here with me and Silvia is on the window hammock. All is well with the world.
Oh, yes. I plan on going to a web site to listen to some of the Presidents State of the Union speech from last night. The one thing I did hear was things are getting better. Prince Fielder signed a 9 year 240 million dollar contract with the Detroit Tigers today, or yesterday. The owner of the baseball team also own the Red Wings and Little Ceasars Pizza. Twenty six million plus a year for a guy who hits baseballs, that's a crap load of pizza, things really must be getting better.
