A day later.............

Twenty four hours later and Silvia's still here. She fit right in with Steve, and in the rear, Dakota.  Of the other two, Jill is here on my left, licking my hand. Casper is on my chair waiting for my return.

The day after Christmas I was guilty of sale madness. A few years ago Wanda and I happened into a large store right after the holiday. The Christmas merchandise was out, heavily discounted and thoroughly picked over. We bought a couple strands of LED lights at 50% regular cost. This year we wanted a few things so we planned an early morning excursion.

At 7:10 Monday morning we were walking through the holiday aisle's at Target. Our cart contained two boxes of lights, some holiday candy, a few rolls of parchment paper and aluminum foil. The items we bought we can use, except for the candy.

The problem I had was looking at things like Singing Santa's and Holiday Elf's thinking, half price, I want them. I was guilty of wanting only because of the sale.

I wonder how many people buy things, take them home and never ever look at them again?

I've got good news and I've got bad news, what do you want to hear first?

That's a tough call don't you think? I always want to hear the bad news first. I figure if the good news is more good than the bad news is bad I will more than break even.

I got one of those phony e mails today asking me to send information to the IRS, ya right.

Just wondering.....if a husband gives his wife a blender or a kitchen appliance it may be considered chauvinistic. But, if she gives him a power tool it's not feminist?

Enough already with the Lexus commercials.

Police arrested a man accused of assaulting fellow Toys R Us customers with a toy light saber.

Officers arrived to find the man swinging the light saber around in the parking lot and shouting incoherent statements.

An officer used a Taser on the man, but he was able to use the light saber to break one of the wires. Police said the man was tackled to the ground and continued to struggle while being taken into custody.

He was taken to a local hospital for a mental evaluation.

He was placed in a secure area of the hospital with several Darth Vaders, five Luke Skywalkers and one Chewbacca.

A west Florida community is spending $3,800 in tax dollars to entice naked Germans to spend their summer vacations there.

The advertising grant was awarded to Pandabare, a local nudist organization representing 16 resorts, campgrounds and clubs located in the largely rural county north of Tampa.

Ads, to be placed in European publications, will promote the county's longstanding reputation as the nudist capital of America.

"The idea is to create a Euro-bird season in July and August which are our worst two months of the year," said a public communications manager.

"They may be nudists but we're hoping they have deep pockets. They buy very few t-shirts and hats as souvenirs and the laundry and cleaning services aren't big money makers. So, we need to be very creative when generating revenue. We were considering Bingo but we were concerned about where they would keep the daubers."
