A few random thoughts............

I was going to really get into my post today. For those of you who didn't grow up in the 60's that means very involved.

I'm actually a little scattered and ambiguous about the blog today.

One of my topics was going to be about an article in the most recent AARP magazine. When I did a second read I realized it's the same topic they write about every month, "You Can Afford To Retire" or "Can You Afford To Retire?" they mix it up a little.

They (whoever they are) say there are three important factors when planning a retirement. 1. How long you will live 2. How much your investments will earn 3. How much income you will need. Well, good luck with all of those answers.

Wanda and I have our retirement years somewhat planned. We may rent the house and live in a tent in the backyard. Or, perhaps we'll rent the house and live in a tent in Jenn and Eric's backyard. Or, maybe we can live in Harvey the RV and have indoor plumbing?

I was thinking that maybe Chaz Bono really did get hosed on Dancing With The Stars and I would write about that. When I reread my sentence I came to the conclusion the name of the show is a problem. Are there truly any "stars" dancing on it? The change, Dancing With People Who's Names You May Know.

By the way.....the last few days I've seen several accounts of contestants talking back to the judges on these so called reality programs. Guess they need to keep them fresh, somehow.

Just so you know I am not a total movie snob. I did like "The Hangover." I was entertained by "Baby Mama," "Date Night," and "Dinner With Schmucks." I also have seen Jack Black in several movies and like his work, most of it. "Gulliver's Travels" I turned off when Gulliver (Black) put out a fire with his......you know, I'm not going to write it. I saw it coming so let's see if you can guess. He is shipwrecked in a land of little tiny people, the castle is on fire, he is standing over it with his pants down.....what do you think?

And this morning when a character in a movie got bit on the ass, or thought he did, by a rattle snake, the dialog was, "suck out the poison, someone, suck out the poison."................and people get paid lots of money for writing this stuff.
