Yes, this is such a good way to spend.....

On more than one occasion I've blogged about spending and saving money. A favorite question is what would you do if you won the lottery? Many of you responded with your ideas about good things to spend money on. Donations to charity, donations to community, donations and help for family and friends. Wanda and I would love to book a nice cruise for us and Rebecca and Jenn and husbands and kids. And while we're at it, our son-in-law Eric's mom and dad too.

I think it would be so much fun to call on them and hand over the tickets. Guess where we're having dinner next July?.....on a cruise ship in Alaska.

We all have our ideas on how to share wealth. Who am I to criticise any ones expenditures? Especially when they have money and I don't. Since I have no idea what else this "artist" does with his money I will assume he puts some of it to good use. I sure hope he does because this, this, is such a waste.

The story today is the rap star Jay-Z (who is married to Beyonce) allegedly spent $250,000.00, that's TWO HUNDRED AND FIFTY THOUSAND dollars in one evening on alcohol. He was celebrating the release of a new album. The article also suggests he was aware that an NBA player dropped one hundred thousand bucks in the same club several months ago and Jay-Z didn't want to be upstaged. He also reportedly left a fifty thousand dollar tip. I don't know if the quarter million was with, or without, the tip.

Remember yesterday's blog.....Money may not buy happiness but it gets your name in the paper.

And now, watch me pull a rabbit out of my hat.

Police in Texas said they arrested a man who stole a forklift from a construction site and led them on a low-speed chase that ended on an interstate.

He was arrested on charges including theft, aggravated assault on a peace officer and driving while intoxicated. (and for stupidity)

A witness said, "the guy was standing up chugging a beer and threw it at the cop car behind him,"...................

I wonder if there is a distinction in Texas for driving a car and a forklift while intoxicated?

An Illinois woman filed a lawsuit against a walk-in-tub manufacturer. She claims she fell and "became wedged in the tub," which she was using for only the second time.

She said she tried to pull out the drain stopper, but the attached chain broke. She said her daughter found her unconscious more than 30 hours later.

"That was the lousiest $12,000 I ever put out," the woman said.

The lawsuit, which claims a "failure and/or malfunction of the drain," is seeking "in excess of $50,000 plus the costs of suit."..................take a lesson from this. Never, ever, ever, ever take a bath in a walk-in-tub without a cell phone in reach. Also, Never, ever, ever, ever pay 12 grand for a bath tub.

Authorities in Washington state said they arrested a man accused of fishing nude on the bank of a lake where he was spotted by other anglers.

Spokane County sheriff's deputies said a man fishing with his two young sons on West Medical Lake reported spotting the man fishing nude on the west bank of the lake at about 2:15 p.m. Sunday.

Deputies said the 54 year old man had put on a pair of shorts at the urging of resort employees before they arrived. They also said he had an outstanding warrant for stalking and he was arrested on the warrant and an additional charge of indecent exposure.

The sheriff's office said the indecent exposure charge is a felony because he has a previous conviction for the same charge from 2009.........................some people never learn.

Not to be outdone.....

The Woodward County, Okla., sheriff said he isn't investigating the case of a naked woman at a golf course since no one has made a formal complaint.

The incident occurred last month at the Elks Lodge No. 1355 golf tournament fundraiser for its annual rodeo. A woman stripped down during a putting challenge, though she was not asked to do so, the report said.

"We haven't had anybody come in and make a report," the Woodward County Sheriff said. "Somebody would need to come in and make a report ... We don't have a victim."

A guy goes naked fishing and gets arrested. A women goes naked golfing and no one complains. Do I detect a double standard here? Or, does it all depend on what you have in your hand? A pole.......or a club?

I got a seven page very official looking letter from Medicare in yesterdays mail. I read it three times before going on line for help. After spending a few hours trying to decode it I called several 1-800 numbers. The first was not in service. The second was "not taking calls at this time." After a short wait on the third a real live person answered. I discovered:

Wanda and I do not need to pack our bags for Bolivia. We don't owe Medicare our first born. We don't need to do anything. I am still a little confused and will file the seven pages away for future reference. I'm amazed at how much the government can say while saying nothing at all.
