A real exciting day, for me

Nevada City Day 4

Good evening, good afternoon, good morning. Today is Saturday, some folks are here, some are gone. Carol and Narce had to leave after just the one night. Steve and Ada got here just before dinner yesterday. We managed to get twenty six people in a "group" picture before dinner, yesterday.

I had a wonderful day, I slept, all day. I was up and outside for the pancake breakfast. I reclined in a chair and slept. Lots of people scarfed the pancakes and I slept. Before breakfast was over I went back inside, and I slept. About nine a group started getting ready for a trip to the Empire mines and I slept.

Wanda wanted to go to the mines. She came in the room, woke me to ask if I wanted to go, I didn't. I went back to sleep.

A few people went to the Humbug Art and Crafts fair, I slept.

A group of people went to the Malenkoff Mines and I slept.

A few people went to a wine tasting downtown, I slept.

Everyone is back here now, sitting around, talking and playing games. Others are reading, others are watching the Giants game. I woke up at three.

I have talked about this being the seventh year we've been here. Today the new "manager" decided we all needed a stern talking to. Check in time here is three o'clock. We have always arrived closer to eleven and hung around the grounds. Today she decided we should know how "stressed out" this early arrival makes the housekeepers

We made reservations for nest year. We will arrive at the same time and do the same thing. I realize this is a popular place but after all, we are a popular group.
