Hey, you undercharged me......

Getting home from Nevada City this time was almost like returning from a cruise. The first couple of days after a cruise I walk around muttering, "Feed me, feed me, feed me." I don't mean a "stick the spoon in the pureed carrots" feed me. I just want someone to put out the food, ready to eat. This has never happened although I keep hoping. Dinner last night was a sausage and a sliced tomato. I didn't want a repeat tonight. I had to go shopping this morning.

I picked up under a dozen items. I know this because I went through the express lane. I also went through the express lane because it was the only one open. I got home and checked my receipt as I was unpacking the goods. I was charged sixty cents for a six pack of yogurt. I called the store and told them I would take care of this when I am in next. I'm the first to let them know about an overcharge, besides, they'll tell me to forget it. This is not the first time this has happened. Now I know why apples are one ninety eight a pound.

On the way to the store I heard a radio commercial for South Lake Tahoe. This was a resort extolling the beauty of the area and the nightlife. The "tag" line was, "Lake Tahoe, South Shore.....Get your Vacation On."

I've noticed more and more things are using the "on" word. Get your food, on. Get your game, on. Get your fun, on. I wonder, is it because we now need to turn so many things, on? Turn your phone, on. Turn your computer, on. Turn your lap top, I-pad, I-pod, on.  Turn your TV, on. Television and before that radio were about the only things we had to turn on in the old days.

Although, now that I give it some thought, we did a lot of "turning on" around 1967. Remember, turn on, tune in, drop out? Now, here I am in 2011 and when I do turn on and tune in I usually need to turn up. How sad is this, I almost always use the subtitles for the hearing impaired when watching TV.

Reputation dot com. There is a business on the Internet that will protect your business if another business, or person from a business, writes malicious things about you or your business.

If you feel a need to leave a comment about the blog, please remember it should be a good one. After all, I have a reputation to maintain.

I am sure the cats missed us this last four days. Steve the Cat kept running in front of Wanda and plopping down, belly up, like asking for a scratch. Casper resumed her place on my lap and Callie tried to bite me several times. Jill remained aloof until this morning.

When I got out of the shower Jill was sitting in the bathroom. As I was trying to shave without cutting my throat, she kept licking me. After she had enough of me she began to eat toilet paper. First me, then the toilet paper, me, then the toilet paper. I can't help but wonder, what does that make me?

We had a wonderful, terrific, above and beyond good time in Nevada City. I'm going to work on the pictures and hope to post some here tomorrow. Our friends Debbie and Jeff came in from New Jersey which was a big surprise. Before leaving the motel we made our reservations for next year.

While there, Younger Daughter Rebecca called. She is now the official owner of her Masters Degree. Working full time, going to school and married, congratulations, Rebecca.
