I'm right where I should be...........

First off I have to say it, I am lazy this morning, just so you know. I completed my time on the Wii. I did what few dishes were in the sink. I took out the recycle things. I folded and put away a small amount of laundry. I made two cups of coffee. I went to the post office and stopped at the fruit stand. I vacuumed the floor, twice.

I would only need to do the floor once if I could remember to reset the damn vacuum. That or I suppose I could do the TOOLS first and then the FLOORS. Although, if I did that I would need to remember to switch FLOORS to TOOLS  first. Cleaning up a little dirt and dust is not supposed to be so complex.

OK, I think I've got it. I take out the vacuum and set it to TOOLS. I do everything using that setting then switch to FLOORS. Now I do the carpet and bare floors, empty the canister and switch back to TOOLS....crap, that's not going to work either. Wanda, I think we need a new vacuum cleaner.

There is an old expression, something like, I have seen the future and it is here.

When I was ten or twelve I read an article about "the future." Some of the things I remember: people will have very large, thin televisions, hanging on walls. People will be able to carry personnel televisions and telephones with pictures. Televisions will have hundreds of channels. People will no longer carry money but plastic "debit" cards. Paychecks will be automatically deposited into accounts. Bills will be paid via personnel computers.

This morning I went to the post office to mail a package. I had one twenty dollar bill with me. The clerk didn't or couldn't make change so I used my debit card. It's taken me a long time to get accustomed to using the plastic for small purchases. I suppose I'm just old fashioned. By the way, we have three computers and two cell phones. Our TV is very thin and very large (it does not hang on the wall but it could). Our checks are direct deposit and Wanda receives and pays bills on line and I don't have a clue how it's done.

The other day Wanda said, "Right now, we are where we are supposed to be." I like and agree with her on that. Entering your sixth decade of life it would be awful to be unhappy. I may often mishear things or need subtitles on movies. My hairline is moving further back on a weekly basis. Every so often I leave the house and forget to zip my fly but I am where I should be.

Two just out of college football players, failed NFL drug tests. One is 6'4" 283 and the other is 6'3" 270. They both tested positive for marijuana. They were busted while at the NFL combine camp where future draft choices are evaluated. The roommates were heard giggling after lights out. When their room was searched two hundred dollars worth of junk food was discovered under the beds and stuffed in a closet.

Actually, these guys failed drug tests and did test positive for pot. Can they be that stupid?

Looking for a new home at a great price? A 17,500 Sq. Ft. 5 bedroom 8 bathroom (do they think every visitor is going to need a potty at the same time? I guess rich people don't have to stand in line to pee. We were on a tour in Alaska and on a bathroom less bus for about an hour.....oh, sorry, that's another story). on 1.5 acres in beautiful sunny Florida. The home was on the market for 25 million dollars in 2006. You can pick it up now for a mere, 10.9 million, now that's a great deal.

Beside the home you would have bragging rites for the once home of Hulk, Mrs. Hulk and the kiddies Hulk Hogan. I get the feeling the "Hulk" is not where he should be.
