I'm Waiting for the Fan Man

Yesterday was very stressful for us all.

I was expecting the glass company at 9 a.m. At 9:15 I started to pace and by 9:30 I was concerned. The shutter man was due here after noon; the glass had to go in before the shutters. Where are they I wondered? So I called them at 9:45.

I was told we were on the schedule between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.

After a short discussion Phillip was dispatched, he arrived a tad after 10 a.m.

The new glass is in and looks wonderful. It's so nice to have brand new windows. The problem now is I can see imperfections in the backyard that were obscured the last year or so. 

Damn me and my half full glass, or is it half empty? I can never get that straight.

Larry the Shutter Guy arrived and installed the new window treatments. I'm happy, Wanda is happy, Steve the Cat is dealing with it but Sparky is in the garage sulking. 

Sparky is miserable and extremely upset. 

We removed his Curious Cat Window Perch.

We're going to replace it with a brand new one but he doesn't seem to understand that.

So I'm waiting for the fan man. If he shows and when he's done I'll take a few pictures and have them on the blog tomorrow. 

In the mean time, I am overflowing with empathy for all our friends who are dealing with home improvements and remodels. I have a greater sense of admiration for Debbie and Jeff. How they had a brand new house built and survived I'll never understand or fully appreciate.
