It's National Literacy Day

Today is National Literacy Day.

I should, by all accounts, get busy on the blog. It would demonstrate my ability to write and I assume your ability to read. Except I don't feel up to it. I know, it's Monday and I should tough it out but Wanda is off today and we have things to do and people to see.

Here is our to-do list:

Mail books to Younger Daughter Rebecca.
Pick up repaired window screens.
Have lunch with Grandson Nicholas.

It's a busy life we live.

It's also Pardon Day: The roots of this day go back to September 8, 1974. On this day, newly installed President Gerald Ford issued a Presidential Proclamation pardoning President Richard M. Nixon of any wrong doing related to the Watergate scandal.

Nixon got his pardon for Watergate I'm sure you can pardon me for the short blog entry.
