A gun vendor may face criminal charges after accidentally shooting a woman in the leg while demonstrating a concealed carry wallet holster at the Great Guns & OK Knives Weapon Show at the at the Ephrata, Pennsylvania Fairgrounds.
Krystal Geardesin was taken to the hospital after gun seller Buddy Hawk, the owner of The Feel Safe Gun Store, shot her in the thigh with a semi-automatic .380.
The demonstration is usually done with plastic models, but Hawk used a real gun with a round in the chamber.
"I think the dealers were upset because it makes them look bad. Everybody paused for a second and their initial reaction was making sure there wasn't more. Once they knew they were safe several people rushed to her aid," witness Phillip Ruggar said. "Shooting guns at a gun show is unheard of. People should always wait until they get home."
A Chinese man was killed following a fight about noodles.
There are some things worth fighting for and Bo Tuan felt completely justified in his actions. The day before the incident Tuan split his breakfast burrito with his friend who said lunch was on him the following day. When arrested Tuan said, "Hey, a promise is a promise."
Bo Tuan allegedly carried out a brutal attack on Yul Liao because the victim turned down Tuan's request to share a bowl of noodles.
The 29-year-old Tuan and Liao began arguing and then Tuan pulled out a knife and began to stab at his friend. Liao tried to defend himself with a spoon and chopsticks but proved no match for the stronger and better equipped Tuan.
Tuan was arrested and charged with murder. He now faces life in prison where he will have plenty of opportunities for noodle sharing.
I'm a sitting bundle of cliches this morning.
Truth is stranger than fiction.
An Oklahoma politician who lost a primary plans to contest the results because he claims his rival is actually dead and is being represented by a body double.
In a letter he posted on his website, District 3 congressional candidate Tim Murray wrote that "it is widely known Rep. Frank D. Lucas is no longer alive and has been displayed by a look alike."
Murray alleges that Lucas was killed during a 2011 trip to Ukraine when he was hanged by the neck in front of witnesses.
"I, Timothy Ray Murray, am a human, born in Oklahoma, and obtained and continue to fully meet the requirements to serve as U.S. Representative when honored to so," Murray wrote on his site. "I will never use a look alike to replace my (The Office's) message to you or to anyone else, as both the other Republican Challengers have."
Lucas denies that he was killed and reported that he's never been to Ukraine.
Murray only captured about five percent of the vote, but he thinks he deserve Lucas' 82 percent share of the vote because he is not alive.
I usually use a glass and try to capture the critters. Wanda dislikes them and sucks them up with the vacuum cleaner. Others squash or hit them with tennis rackets.
This just seems a little extreme.

A Michigan man who was claiming to be a resident of "Planet Zoltron" is facing a number of charges after he allegedly attacked a sheriff deputy's cruiser with a four-foot metal pipe.
Officers were investigating reports about a man breaking into homes when they came across Calquan Dion Burr. On a dash camera video, Burr can be seen charging the cruiser, jumping on the hood of the car and attacking the windshield.
While the 20-year-old was being arrested, he told police that he was "from the Planet Zoltron and that his father sent him."
Burr appeared to be on "mind-altering drugs" and a witness said that he seemed "drunk or high and was talking about seeing blue orbits."

A Utah man pleaded guilty to an assault charge following a fight over saved seats at a Mormon church.
Ford said, "I guess life without alcohol, tobacco, coffee and tea just gets to me once in a while. I'm sorry."
During the incident, Wayne Ford got in a fight with another family after he sat in seats that they were trying to save at the Meadows Ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Plain City.
The chapel was especially busy that day because of a baby blessing, a missionary farewell, fourteen weddings and a funeral.
The argument spilled out into the parking lot and Ford allegedly beat a man from the seat-saving family until he was bloody. Ford is also accused of swerving his car to hit the man when he was driving away from the church.
Ford pleaded guilty to misdemeanor assault in exchange for a charge of aggravated assault being dropped. The 52-year-old was also ordered to complete an anger management class, pay a $550 fine and attend meditation and church service three times a week as part of his 12 months of probation.
Police raided a Florida barbershop and took its owner to jail after discovering that the establishment doubled as an illegal strip club.
Customer Richard Dennings said, "The haircut isn't the best I've ever had but the entertainment made up for it."
The agents were also able to purchase vodka at the shop.
"On each and every occasion they were serving alcohol and they had strippers. And, not strippers following local law which states strippers must wear at least one article of clothing. "A hat, a scarf, even an eye patch counts but these ladies went completely nude," said Lt. Mike Mason.
This was not the first time agents have gone to the shop, but it was the first time they made an arrest. They made a total of thirty-nine visits prior to the raid. The lead detective said. "We are very meticulous in our investigations.
A pole that was featured in the shop was removed. It was painted red and white but we know a stripper pole when we see one. Police also removed several large ceiling mirrors.
