Today is Caramel Popcorn, No Housework and World Health Day.
I like caramel popcorn. I practice no housework day often and I'm fairly healthy.
Why is the expression "to die for" so popular? Nothing is really worth it.
As promised last Thursday here are 10 ways to treat ingrown toenails.
1. Try a foot soak. Soak your toe in warm salt water for 15 minutes twice a day.
2. Keep your foot dry. Great advice....especially following number 1.
3. Take an over-the-counter pain relieving medication, like aspirin, ibuprofen or something stronger if you have it.
4. Gently, gently pull the skin away from the nail. Use a small nail file or other device like a pliers or wire cutter.
5. Stuff tiny pieces of clean, moist cotton between the ingrown toenail and skin to help separate them.
6. Rub your toe with antibiotic ointment.
7. Cover the sore toe with a Band-Aid or other bandage.
8. Choose shoes that are easy on your toes.
9. Inspect your toe carefully for signs of infection.
10. See a podiatrist......if it was me I'd skip 1-9 and go right to 10.
Two of my favorite medical specialties are podiatry and proctology.
Here are a few recent news stories.
He didn't have exact change for the bus.
A man, who was wearing a dress, high heels and a wig, asked for a ride at an Orlando, Florida intersection and he allegedly became angry when the women in the car refused.
Corsica Cleveland, the driver of the car, told police the man threw a drink at the car while she was driving away. She said the man chased the car and caught up at a nearby intersection where he threw a piece of concrete through the front passenger window.
"He was dressed so nice I was shocked he caught me while running in four inch high heels. I tried to tell him I never give rides to strangers."
"Thank goodness nobody was cut, but we had like glass in our hair and in our clothes, Cleveland said. We were scared. We were in fear for our lives. We were scared because he could have had a gun or something because he had a purse."

A Florida man who makes motorcycles from animal bones said his latest creation, dubbed "Cowasaki," is for sale with a $55,000 asking price.
Reese Moore, 65, said he built his first bone bike when a saloon owner asked him for a sculpture. "I just love working with bones," Moore said. He has never ridden a motorcycle, but he has now built nine of the non-working bone choppers with the help of his sons. He said the first bike is on display at Froggy's Saloon with an asking price of $100,000 and his "Cowasaki" creation is on display at Dunn's Attic & Auction House with a listed price of $55,000.
Moore said some of his other creations are on display at a museum in Georgia, a Kentucky pawn shop and a Ripley's Believe it or Not museum.
Moore said it takes about a year to gather the bones for each bike, but it only takes a few days to sand the bones and assemble the motorcycles.
He said the sculptures always draw attention when he drives around with them in the back of his truck.
"They're probably the most photographed motorcycles in history, he said. I'll keep creating until I get too old then my sons will take over the business. They want to expand the line to include cars and trucks. One of these days we may actually sell one. That would be nice."
A model who appeared at the Playboy Golf Finals at the Industry Hills Golf Club in Los Angles in 2012 has filed a lawsuit against Playboy Enterprises after she was allegedly struck in the buttocks by a golfer who was trying to drive a ball off a tee that was wedged between her cheeks.
The golfer who missed the shot, Playboy Morning Show radio host Kevin Kline (no relation to the actor) is also named in Liz Dickson’s lawsuit. She is suing for battery and negligence and is seeking $500,000 plus punitive damages.
"I'd sue for more but he only hit half my ass. After almost two years I still have a bruise and it's numb and all tingly. It could have been much worse. He wanted to hit it off my chest, can you imagine that. I'm glad he used a five iron and not a driver."
The suit states Dickson agreed to lie “with her buttocks partially exposed” so Klein could hit off the tee in her butt. When he swung, Klein missed the tee and “struck plaintiff on the buttocks, causing her injuries and damages.”
Liz was 2011′s "Girls of Playboy Golf Winner." She is from Traverse City, Michigan and when not modeling she likes to spend time with her son, shop, see her friends, have fun and act silly. Liz enjoyed meeting the Playmates at the Playboy Golf Tournament and made several new friends."
Head butting and chair tossing is socially acceptable but never, ever belch in public.
A South Carolina man was eating at a Taco Bell when his poor manners led to him being hit with a chair and choked by another customer.
According to police, the 20-year-old was dining with a friend when he burped. Another man approached and asked the victim if he had belched without saying "excuse me."
Mr. Manners then went after the victim with a chair and struck him in the elbow. The alleged assailant then grabbed the victim by the throat and attempted to head-butt him.
A restaurant worker stepped in and got the man to leave. He reportedly drove off in a white truck.
The victim suffered a minor cut on his elbow and was left with redness around his throat.
According to police a man matching the suspect's description was seen giving fashion advice at the local Wal-Mart however he still remains at large.
