Someone from Michigan posted a picture of a beautiful green yard full of grass and shrubbery with this caption:
Missing.....Last seen November 1, 2013.
I hope the weather breaks for all of you in the mid west and east very soon. Baseball Opening Day is only 18 days from now.
This entry is going to be a short one. I want to get several things done today and am planning on an early start. Since Wanda won't let me anywhere near the washing machine or dryer I'll do some house cleaning and yard work. I have all the time in the world (or what I have left) to prepare for vacation, she has one day.
I organized most of my clothes yesterday and I'm taking less than ever before. When we first started cruising we dressed up on formal nights which meant a suit, blazer, dress shoes, ties and various accessories. We haven't done formal nights in years. There are many great options for those of us who prefer to go casual.
I will be wearing clothes when I board. My basic packing list:
1 pair of shoes
4 pair underpants
4 pair socks
4 casual shirts
2 casual slacks
1 grey jeans button fly (I need to head to the bathroom faster)
4 T-shirts
1 Disneyland 50th Anniversary sweatshirt with Grumpy embossed on the back.
The cruise is seven days, there are send out laundry services as well as Laundromats on every deck. Hopefully Wanda won't let me near the machines on board and she'll do a couple loads half way through the week.
I won't be posting next week so here are some things to think about. You can check back if you forget what you should be celebrating.
Monday is Corned Beef and Cabbage Day. There are 53 calories (36 from fat) 3.99g total fat, 31mg cholesterol and 238mg sodium in one serving of corned beef. A serving size is approximately 4 1/2" x 2 1/2" x 1/8". A serving size is about 3/4 the size of 1 square of toilet paper and just about as thin.
Cooked cabbage only has 17 calories per serving and its #8 on the Foods That Make You Fart list.
Enjoy your St. Patrick's Day meal.
Tuesday is Oatmeal Cookie Day. Bake a batch; prepackaged tubs, squeeze tubes and box mixes do not count. Come on, how hard is making a cookie from scratch.
Wednesday is Poultry Day so take a chicken to dinner. Check this link for more chicken information.
Thursday is National Chocolate Caramel Day. Indulge to your hearts content but watch the crowns and fillings.
Monday is St. Patrick's Day: No explanation necessary.
Tuesday is Goddess of Fertility Day: All of the couples that got hammered and had sex last night should have the lady pee on a stick soon.
My next blog entry will be Monday, March 24th. It will be all about the cruise. Stop back then and as always, thanks for your participation. Your comments here and your 'likes' and comments on Facebook are greatly appreciated.
