Sorry for the redundancy.
I'm infected with this "ware" called Bizcoaching.
I get multiple pop-ups telling me I need a new media player. I've run several full virus scans, spyware scans, adware scans, malware scans and full body cat scans (I made that one up). Nothing I've done has identified my problem. Every tool I've used issues a clean bill of health. Our friend Tony sent an e-mail with instructions for a diagnostic scan. I clicked on the link for the Microsoft site and guess what? I got the bizcoaching pop-up.
Another problem is my low, very low, computer I.Q. Telling me to go into Task Manager to remove certain registry settings is akin to me flying an airplane. If I try to follow manual removal instructions I may as well save time and throw this away now.
And last but not least are all the "helpful" web sites that offer "free" diagnostics. Some even offer "free" removals. They list all the reasons your computer will go straight to Hell. You need to download this removal tool it says and it's free. Yes, the download if free, the removal tool is $39.95...but today, just for you...$29.95. I wouldn't object to paying for a good product, if I knew it would work.
Enough....on to more important issues.
Well, it finally happened. I just "lost" over two hours of work. If I say so myself, it was about the very best blog I've ever not posted. It was my fault and will NEVER happen again. I clicked something I shouldn't have clicked.
Enough....all the more important issues are now floating in cyberspace. I'll try and recreate it tomorrow. But, as my Grandma Sophie used to say, "So it shouldn't be a total loss," here's Stevie and Sparky.
Sparky (black & white) and Steve. Sparky has been living in and around our backyard for years. We've given him food and shelter out there. I felt so bad when it was so hot last week. We took him to our Vets last Friday and he's been in since then. It looks like he's right at home after 5 days.
