Anthropomorphism: an interpretation of what is not human or personal in terms of human or personal characteristics. The first time I head this word my veterinarian brother was telling me animals don't really do the things we attribute to them.
The other day I had the speaker on while clearing a message from Wanda. Steve heard her voice and was looking for her. He seemed distressed that Wanda was stuck inside that little telephone. Around 4 o'clock most work days he sits on the cat condo in the front window and waits for her car. He greets her at the door with some sort of yowl which, I guess, means something to him. When Wanda goes to sleep Steve is always on the bed, right next to her.
I've lived with cats for the past 26 years and I think my brother was wrong. I think cats and dogs have personalities. Maybe we don't give them enough credit?
Obtuse: lacking sharpness or quickness of sensibility or intellect: insensitive, stupid.
Three men have been accused of stealing items that include a samurai sword but according to central Wyoming police the suspects weren't exactly ninjas.
Authorities say they tracked the men down by simply following a series of footprints in the snow leading away from a home where the robbery was reported. The tracks led investigators from the victim's house straight to another house where authorities found three men "digging through" stolen property that included several other types of swords.
Police say they also found marijuana and drug paraphernalia in the home late Monday night. They say the suspects were arrested and face various robbery and drug charges.
Nothing says success like excess. Want to lease an Audi? Now you can for $999.00 a month. This is another, "Are You Kidding Me?" One more dollar and it's A THOUSAND BUCKS A MONTH, for a car, A FREAKING CAR.
Wanda drives a 2008 Toyota RAV4. We call it RAVA2E after the Pixar film "Ratatouille." Its been driven a little over 50,000 miles and it's paid for. This model year Toyota has a newly designed RAV4. I didn't like it.
Later I took another look at the vehicle. I started to question my conclusion. I wondered, what would I think if money was no object? Was I protecting my potential feelings of disappointment? I didn't like it because I couldn't have it seemed reasonable to me. But that Audi, it was really nice. Maybe I should get one of those?
