Short But Sweet......A Revelation

I just read that one of the "Sweathogs" from the Welcome Back Kotter TV show died of a heart attack. The actor that played Horshack, Ron Palillio, was 63. Kotter costar actor Robert Hegyes who played Epstein died this past January, also of a heart attack. John Travolta, maybe he should make an appointment with a cardiologist?

Speaking of appointments, I had my usual go to the doctor once a month appointment at 10:15 this morning. Since I'm running late I'll wait until tomorrow to list the pertinent details. For now I'll say I need to go back Thursday at 8AM and leave it at that.

I have a terrible habit. I often think the worst. I'm not sure if that makes me a pessimist, or a realist? Last week I got some mail from the hospital where I had my colonoscopy. Oh crap, an appropriate expression, what now? I thought it's probably a bill for thousands of dollars? I was under the impression the procedure was completely covered by insurance. Expecting bad news I opened what was a two page survey.

Last year Wanda and I booked a cruise to Alaska. We have been, at this point, waiting seventeen months. The other day I received an e-mail from Princess Cruise Lines about the trip. As soon as I saw the subject line I thought, they cancelled it, I bet they cancelled it. It's the last Alaska cruise of the year, they could do that. It was a e-mail explaining various ways we could spend money.

It's truly an awful way to think but I can't help it.

I don't know the last time I got mail from an insurance company or a hospital or any large establishment that was great news. Like maybe a rebate check or a nice note telling me how much my business is appreciated.

Oh, wait, now that I give it more thought, I do remember. It was NEVER.
