Do I Really Make A Difference?

RYAN: Said Obama misled people in Ryan's hometown of Janesville, Wis., by making them think a General Motors plant there threatened with closure could be saved. "A lot of guys I went to high school with worked at that GM plant. Right there at that plant, candidate Obama said: `I believe that if our government is there to support you ... this plant will be here for another hundred years.' That's what he said in 2008. Well, as it turned out, that plant didn't last another year."
THE FACTS: The plant halted production in December 2008, weeks before Obama took office and well before he enacted a more robust auto industry bailout that rescued GM and Chrysler and allowed the majority of their plants — though not the Janesville facility — to stay in operation. Ryan himself voted for an auto bailout under President George W. Bush that was designed to help GM, but he was a vocal critic of the one pushed through by Obama that has been widely credited with revitalizing both GM and Chrysler.
OK, sue me, I've said a gazillion times. I'm not going to get political on the blog. No question about it. There's enough material in our air space. I don't need to spend time adding to it. But, and I apologize for it, I CAN'T HELP MYSELF.
They're all liars. They're all hypocrites. They all take the truth and bend it to fit their agenda, Or, maybe they're all sociopaths? They have used this rhetoric for so long they actually believe what they say?
I'll only ask this of you once. Please vote your choice this November. And please find an independent web site and read Fact Checks. Please do not blindly believe what these professional truth benders tell you. Please do some research.
Thank you.
Every so often I find more news than I can use in one blog entry. Yesterday was one of those days. Here are two items I can't pass up.
Honolulu police say a 58 year old man was arrested after beating his roommate with a ukulele.
Police say the men were arguing in their apartment Tuesday when the man hit his roommate with the small, guitar-like instrument.
The Honolulu Star-Advertiser reports the ukulele beating caused substantial injuries.

The roommate was arrested on suspicion of second-degree assault.

It's not clear what caused the argument. "I think one of them wanted to play "Sweet Georgia Brown" in the key of C and the other wanted "Ain't She Sweet," their next door neighbor said. "Usually the guys get along fine but they do argue over song choice from time to time, he added. "It's a lucky thing they weren't in Munich, Germany. A ukulele over the head is bad. Can you imagine the damage from a Flugelhorn."

Someone is having a real bad day.

Beverly Hills police say a hearse driver who was found dead with a body in the vehicle died while taking the casket to a funeral.....rather than what? Dinner and a movie?

Lt. Lincoln Hoshino says authorities were alerted that a body was slumped over in the driver's seat of a hearse parked near the Beverly Hills Hotel at about 3 p.m. Monday.

The investigation is in its early stages but the woman appears to have died of natural causes, with no weapons or evidence of violence discovered. Coroner's investigators will make a final determination of the cause of death.

Officers on scene were unable to gather information. "No one is talking, said one. I do know this, if we locate the funeral home and find another driver they won't be using the car pool lane."

You've heard the expression, "I'm spending my kids inheritance." Here is another good reason to do just that.

Sherman Hemsley, the actor who portrayed the iconic George Jefferson died last month. His will, signed about a month before his passing, names a friend and companion as his executor and sole beneficiary. Now it seems, he has a brother who wants in on the money. Sherman is in the deep freeze while waiting a courts decision.

Some sources claim Hemsley is indeed in the freezer. Some sources claim he was 'unburied' then put in the ice box. So, it's not just about money, the 'brother' wants disposition rights as well.

I was confused at first. I thought he was exhumed so the involved parties could ask him his wishes. Maybe, like W.C. Fields, Hemsley would say, "On the whole I would rather be in Philadelphia" or like Super Bowl MVP's, "I'm going to Disneyland."

Isn't it awful, life is hard enough, let the guy rest in peace. Money, or the thought of money can drive people down a one way street, the wrong way.

Duh!

I have a usual morning routine. Since I only do it about half the time I guess it's not really a routine, but if it was, it would be like this:

Wake up. This is my favorite part of the morning. If it's all I do I'm OK with it. Straighten up the bed and put away everything I dragged out the night before when I couldn't sleep. Brew my first latte' of the day and clean the dishes in the sink. If I've told Wanda once I've told her a million times, leave the dishes, I can do them. Dishes from a midnight snack, her breakfast, and the cats dishes take five minutes. Then I start the computer all the while drinking my first and on the way to my second latte'.

Last night I thought I could get an early start on the morning. I cleaned and filled the espresso container with fresh ground coffee. Milk the exception, I set up everything I would need for a latte'.

This morning I forgot what I did last night. I dumped the unused, fresh coffee grounds in the trash. It's no big deal, really. I hate to waste but I wasn't going to sift through kitchen garbage. I started the process over.

I wonder if a single cup coffee maker is in my future?
