Walnut Creek Yacht Club to celebrate our 4th January Welcome In The New Year Lobster Dinner.
The restaurant has an entire month of this delectable dinner special. Reservations are required and the lobster must be ordered at least 24 hours in advance. This year dinner was $20.12, up 4 cents from our dinner in 2008.
Over the years we've had between eight and fourteen people celebrate good food and great friendship.
In late 2003 I began corresponding with some people we would be cruising with the following year. I never imagined we would be great friends eight years later.
Wil and Andi came up from San Jose, Roselyn and Bruce down from Sacramento. Jess (who you can't see because he took the picture) and Karen from the Fairfield area. Other members of our gang live further and several live out of state. One of these days maybe we will all be in the same place at the same time?
Thanks to everyone we saw last night and thanks to those of you who were there in spirit. Thank you for being my friend(s).....that was either a popular song title or something from Sesame Street, I'm not sure which?
