A nothin' much Trash Day Thursday

I have been sitting around the house most of the day. I did take two trips out to bring in the trash plastic receptacles. We had all three out today. Garbage, green waste, and recycle stuff.

I've also been thinking about what I could write about today. I finally came to the conclusion that I wanted to write about nothing. So, today the blog is about nothing, just nothing at all. Sort of like what Mrs. Blandings did when she asked for her "potting room floor."

Wanda tells me I have a pretty remarkable memory for things done long ago. I'm not sure if I really do have a good memory, or, she has a not so good one.

I've always been a lover of film. I think it was the family outings on Sunday evenings. Often, especially in summer when it was so warm, we would all go out to dinner and then to a movie. I used to love going to those great big beautiful theaters in downtown Detroit.
The Fox Theater was one of my favorites and I have vivid memories of it in it's glory days. By the time I was a teenager the Fox was looking like it may be another fond memory. Eventually it was restored and attained it's formal glory. I sort of regret that in all my return visits I never found the time to see a show there. It's something I can look forward to.

Today was a lazy day sitting around, reading and catching up on some recorded movies.

"American Graffiti", "Lenny", "Cool Hand Luke", and "The Mark of Zorro." It was an eclectic day. Especially with Zorro, the 1920 silent with Douglass Fairbanks Sr.

She said, "He mustered strenght and agility."
He heard, "His mustard was great in the chili."

I told you it was going to be about nothing.
