Why?

We had "Big Salads" for dinner last night. We eat lots of these because they are always different, and good. We'll usually start with Romaine lettuce and then add a combination of ingredients. What we add depends on what we have and/or feel like.

We compost. We compost a lot because we eat lots of big salads and fruit.

We have a garbage disposal. We don't use it a lot because we compost a lot.
We don't eat much meat.

Our garbage disposal is not working. Last night it just sort of "popped." This morning I went to Home Depot and picked up a new receptacle (the thing that the plug goes in). I replaced it just a while ago. I flipped on the circuit breaker, plugged a night light in the top, it worked. I plugged it in the bottom, it worked. The dishwasher shares the receptacle with the disposal and I plugged that in the top, it worked. I plugged it in the bottom, it worked. I plugged the disposal in the top, it didn't work. I plugged it in the bottom it didn't work there either.

With only one trip to Home Depot I don't know why I expected a solution?

We need a new power cord, or a new garbage disposal, or a new house. I think I will start small.

In a minute I will go down to Home Depot. Well, I can hope can't I?
