Once again this morning I was the first customer at the local Caribou Coffee shop. I think I like Starbucks better? The local Starbucks is 1.59 miles from here, the Caribou .84. I really would rather go to the Starbucks since I like the drink better and have one of their cards and it's good for a few "perks." Get it?........."perks" Yep, I get one free coffee with every 15 which means I spend 60 bucks for a "free" coffee drink. I also get a "free" drink on my birthday (Dec 22) and I get "free" flavor which I don't use. I don't go to the Starbucks because the other place is closer and I don't want to drive before I have had the first cup of coffee. I suppose I could go to Caribou, get a latte', drink it in the car on the way to the Starbucks.
I have been having a lot of difficulty with the appliances leaking. I replaced one last night and again this afternoon. I know this is frustrating for Fred and it bothers me. I called the Home Health office last night and got a call this morning. I'm expecting a call back any minute and a visit this evening. For now the one I replaced looks like it's starting to fail so Fred is laying in a prone position, in the dark, he's happy and sleeping. Once again, I feel like we took one step forward and two steps back, very much like the Detroit Lions today.
I am going to go prep dinner while I wait for the nurse. Tonight we will finally eat the sirloin burgers, baked potato with sour cream and butter, applesauce and green peas.
