No pie for you.....

I tried to leave a friend a message on their travel blog. I would think since I have a blog and she has a blog and both blogs are here on blog spot it would be a simple process. But I can't do it directly, so, Peggy: thanks for the blog, it almost feels like I'm there with you all. Have a great time.

Our friends Peggy and her husband Jon, Andi who is a regular here and her husband Wil, and Gloria and Darrell are sailing to Tahiti and back. They're going with about 2500 others on a Princess cruise ship. Peggy is blogging on the trip.

Speaking of comments and messages, there is no question the "new" Face Book has cut my readership by about 25%. Now I know how the newspaper moguls felt when on line news became so prevalent.

This morning I had about a dozen e mails. I get two or three from Dell every day. Today they wanted me to complete several things in order to see my sale price. Copy and paste a code on a second window. Enter one of those hard to see words on a third. I'm jumping through these hoops knowing I don't want anything. Am I that conditioned to the word SALE?

Three weeks ago we special ordered a cherry pie at the Farmers Market. Two weeks ago the bakery didn't show up. Last week the bakery and our order slip was there but the pie wasn't. "They forgot to load it this morning, the nice lady said, it will be here next week, for sure." It wasn't. Saturday, no bakery so no pie. We have one market left this season. I bet we get our pie about the same time that I hear from Safeway on the Good Belly, when Hell freezes over.

And why am I even concerned about a million calorie cherry pie we would eat in two days?

I just heard that Jennifer and Eric's Aunt Jan passed away. You don't need a detailed description of who everyone is, or, how the various relationships connect. Wanda and I only meet Jan a couple of times, I really didn't know her. It's enough to know how my step daughter Jennifer felt about Jan. She must have been a very special person.

Speaking for Wanda, our thoughts go out to Susan and Al and their family. Jennifer and Eric and theirs. And all those who were touched by Jan during her much too short life.
