All Aboard........................

A nine year old boy received an electric train for his birthday. A few days later it was up and running and he was having a good time with it. The kid was in the family room of the house, his mother in the kitchen.

He was watching his train going round and round the tracks and after several revolutions he stopped at the station. "A Street Station," he said. "All you Mother Fu#kers that want to get off the train, get off the train. And all you Mother Fu#kers that want to get on the train, get on the train."

His mother thought she heard inappropriate language but she wasn't sure. She moved in to the next room to get a little closer.

The kid continued playing and soon stopped again, "B Street Station." "All you bastards that want to get off the train, get off the train."............before he could continue his mother came in the room.

"I heard what you said. I don't know where you picked up this language but if you can not speak properly and politely you will not be able to play." That said, she told him to go to his room as punishment.

Two hours passed, the kid told her he was sorry and he asked if he could play with the trains again. His mother said he could.

The boy started running the train around the track and this time when he stopped he said, "B Street Station." "All of you ladies and gentlemen that want to get off the train, get off the train." "And, all of you ladies and gentlemen that wish to get on the train, get on the train...........but hurry up because The Bitch in the kitchen made us two hours late."

Better late than never.

The Detroit Lions won their football game last night. The team has won all five of the games played this season. The last time a Lions team started 5-0 was in 1956. I was seven years old at the time and honestly, I don't remember it. The attendance was just under 68,000 last night. I hope the team can keep it up and continue to give the city something to get excited about.

This Sunday will mark one year of my blog postings. This started as a way to keep my family and friends informed about my oldest brothers health. Fred was hospitalized in Michigan and I went back to help him recover. Actually, when I first went back I wasn't thinking recovery. So, it's almost a year and I'm still blogging and he is still doing whatever it is he does.

Today, a good joke and a little conversation. I don't know what tomorrow will bring but that's a good thing, it should be a surprise. I think come Sunday and Monday I will take a look back over the last year, that should be fun.
