We did it.....5 North William Beaumont Hospital 1-248-898-5617
We have a very small but private corner room. I think it will be less noisy here which will be great. There is some slight concern over his hemoglobin, nothing to worry about. They'll watch it and check again tomorrow. The goal for today is up in the bedside chair at 4PM for just an hour.
When we arrived on the floor his nurse came in and did her intake assessment. She came back a few minutes later and gave me two five dollar vouchers for lunch/dinner here at the hospital cafeteria. I think I am starting to look like a homeless waif. I really am glad he was moved out of the ICU since those people were wondering if I owned more than two shirts. I have one with, and one without, coffee stains. By the way, the vouchers are not good at Starbucks or Ben and Jerry's.
I can have the cell phone on in this room so if you need to call, do so.
An update on the tube/wire count: Today tube/wires out = 5 in = 0
total tubes/wires out = 11 in = 0
PS: The count for the six ekg monitors stuck on his chest were counted as 1.
